A practical tool, not a content farm
Each tool exists to help with a specific task. The site is being developed in focused groups so that the instructions, examples and limitations can be reviewed instead of filling the site with pages that say the same thing.
When a task needs a source of truth—such as a lender’s terms, a tax authority’s rules or medical advice—KitLumo gives an estimate or processing aid and tells you where professional or official confirmation is still needed.
Privacy by design
Most tools run in the browser on the device you are using. Text you type, numbers you calculate and files you choose are not sent to KitLumo by those tools. The file converter is deliberately browser-only while it is being improved; server-side conversion is not used for sensitive files.
The feedback form is different because a message you choose to send must reach the site. It only receives the message and an email address if you decide to include one.
How the site is funded
KitLumo is intended to remain free. Clearly labelled advertising helps pay for hosting and maintenance, and optional donations may help keep the tools available. Advertising is not a reason to collect the contents of a user’s tool session.
How to report a problem
If a result looks wrong, a page is difficult to use or a tool is missing something important, use the Report a problem or Request a tool box on the main site. Useful reports include the tool name, the inputs that were used and what result was expected—without sending private information you do not want to share.
